Distributor Engagement & management Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

1. Distributor Management (National) 

  • Conduct stock-take at all DPs and PWs (capturing at least 95% of total Level 1 and Level 2 average stock volume).Ensure minimal cross-regional or parallel stocks at DP/PW. All DP stock-take at least once a year, all PW stock-take at least twice a year. Special PWs (Wine PWs, Grand Cru/Ao Yun PWs and Whisky PWs) at least once a year.
  • Conduct quarterly performance discussions with distributors, along with Monthly to Semi-annual (depending on distributor grading) sales attainment review. Discuss reasons for past performance and performance gaps as well as develop plans to improve performance.
  • Assess potential future distributors against key variables (Scale & Capability) to determine their business potential.
  • Authorize PWs to sell specific MHDC product categories and in specified geography, channels.
  • Review with owners and warehouse managers their responsibilities per their grading (A,B,C).
  • Review latest market trends and competitor intelligence.
  • Provide update on planned activities and launches.
  • Ensure minimal cross-regional or parallel stocks at DP/PW
  • Develop and update activities, targets and business priorities for upcoming period.

2. RFID Scan-in/Scan-Out Project (National)

  • Manage the launch of the new RFID tracking system in DPs and PWs
  • Create and manage the process flow for wholesalers to conduct the scan-in and scan-out and to capture this data for MHDC to use for analysis on timely basis.
  • Launch RFID solution to level 1 DPs and have coverage on 60% of Level 1 stock by H1, 80% of Level 1 stock by year-end.
  • Launch RFID solution to level 2 PWs and have 50% coverage by year-end.
  • Work with wholesalers and 3rd party vendor to ensure accuracy of scan-in/scan-out is above 95% compared to DP/PW reported each month. Monthly review of accuracy tied with portion of distributor incentives.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure that all hardware and software are operating properly and address any issues from wholesalers within 2 business days. 3. Distributor Data (National)
  • Monthly Level 1 & Level 2 Sell-in/Sell-out and Inventory tracking and sharing with MHD China internal teams.
  • Tracking of the distributor's breadth of outlet network. Maintain an updated mapping of DP to PW to Outlet.
  • Manage the distributor scorecard for all PWs, to be reviewed each quarter. >  Promote proper inventory tracking, warehousing & handling, and data sharing.
  • Tracking of competitor's business at DP/PW


  • University graduate in Business/Marketing or related disciplines
  • Good Chinese & English (preferred) communication skills
  • At least 8 years of prior experience in wholesaler/distributor management at FMCG company, including customer facing experience.
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Customer facing skills
  • Negotiations
