Job Responsibilities:

• Taste and monitor the wine products served throughout the operation, provide feedback where appropriate.
• Work closely with other Outlet Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
• Monitor wine service and Food & Beverage standards in the Outlet. Work with the Outlet Managers to take corrective actions where necessary.
• Frequently verify that only quality wines are used in Food & Beverage Department.
• Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Food & Beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and upsell alternatives. Develop new techniques of service towards maximum guest satisfaction at minimum operating costs
• Assist in the preparation of the Annual Wine Budget for Food & Beverage
• Evaluate local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations constantly to make sure that the wine selection remain competitive and cutting edge.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as Sommelier in luxury hotel or restaurant environment
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food & Beverage management or related field preferred
• Possess WSET Level 3 Wine or Court of Master Sommelier Certified Sommelier
• Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Possess knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Must be willing to learn and be groomed towards fulfilling the role
