The Regional Account Director is a high-profile role that will be responsible for the management and overall revenue growth and profitability for key clients in APAC regions. Leading, inspiring, coaching, empowering and developing client facing team should be a passion of yours. Being Accountable for developing client relationships at all levels, you will ensure there is always strategic oversight and alignment with both client and overseas teams on global and regional strategies. Being an accountable strategic thinker, excellent communicator, negotiator and self-starter team player with a high Level of commercial acumen is a must. 

Responsibilities

  • The Account Director sets the strategic vision aligned to the client's strategy alongside the Regional AD, initiates innovative and drives integration across multi-disciplinary teams, regionally and globally.  
  • Build successful partnerships with the client business leads and key decision makers.
  • Provides on-going strategic insights and revised solutions/recommendations based on the changing market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Implements an overall account structure and team that will excel in client services utilities working hand in hand with production teams and strategic sourcing to optimise the production process and deliver account requirements providing seamless execution of all client jobs and projects.
  • Lead, train, develop, mentor and motivate teams, providing performance and people management as well as maintaining staffing requirements.
  • Ensure all client/internal contractual and procedural requirements are met
  • Prepare and execute client development plans
  • Prepare Quarterly Business Reviews alongside the regional AD to present to the client and InnerWorkings' management.
  • Drive performance accountability and assume responsibility for overall management of the client internal P&L alongside the regional AD; ensuring profitability meets expectations and that the client team is providing superior customer service.
  • Continuously improve client services and production solutions and evaluate current spend to maximize capabilities and drive value in the relationship from both an economic and service level.
  • Supports new business wins and implements new account/service line developments in conjunction with supporting internal functions

Requirements

  • 10+ years of managing client service/production teams within a marketing execution, manufacturing, client, or agency environment.
  • 7+ years of direct client interfacing experience with the ability to interface with all levels of professionals.
  • Commercially astute.
  • Experience working at all levels within a client/internal structure.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven management experience, including employee development and mentoring.
  • Highly proficient with MS Office software, especially Excel.
  • Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed.
  • Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments.
  • Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in managing wine & Spirits industry clients will be a plus
  • POSM/Print experience required
  • Retail experience advantage
  • Languages: English, Chinese
